The variegated yarn gives this scarf a modern look.

This was a really fun scarf to make. I would have preferred it to be a little longer, but I started with a very small ball of yarn. It probably measures the 40″ that the pattern calls for, but I prefer my scarves to be at least 60″. I was also only able to do a little bit of trim because I ran out of yarn. I can see making many more of these scarves.

Alternating Back Post and Front Post Double Crochet makes a great texture.

I made one of the Entwine Trivets. It was a fun, easy project. I really like the texture that is made using the simple stitch pattern. Once you master these stitches, the pattern is very simple. I can see using this pattern to make an entire set of place mats. I might need to try it using twine or another fun, sturdy yarn.

These trivets would make quick and easy wedding gifts, and you can make at least two with one skein of yarn.
