I told myself I wasn’t going to order any more Happy Yarn Mail because money was a little tight, but somehow, when those emails came out telling me they are for sale, I just can’t resist. This is the October box.

This yarn is beautiful and the style is so me! Happy Yarn Mail comes with an exclusive pattern and a password protected tutorial video. Normally I don’t take the time to watch the video, but I had a little trouble understanding the directions on this one. I watched the video, all 18 minutes of it. Because I did, I had no questions when it came time to crochet the hat.

The hat without the pom pom looks ok, but I thought it really needed it. Now, I haven’t made a pom pom since Girl Scouts when I was eight years old! Back to Google I went to freshen up those skills. I did ok.

I’m sure I could do better. A lot better.

But once it went on the hat, it looked much better.

I’ve got to say, I love this hat. It will look great with my bright orange winter coat! I can’t wait to see what next months Happy Yarn Mail has in store.
