Daisy Chain Scarf (Paid Pattern)

I love the look of a scarf made entirely of flowers, but I hate the thought of stitching each flower individually, sewing them together, and weaving in ALL the ends. This pattern is made using what I have dubbed the “Daisy Chain.” The flowers are linked together by a chain and thus avoid sewing together and weaving in ends. The only ends you’ll have are at the beginning and end of the rows. Using a variegated yarn makes the end product look like a flower bed full of blooms.

As my vision for this pattern took shape, I decided that Lion Brand Scarfie yarn would be perfect. Scarfie yarn is a blend of 78% acrylic and 22% wool, which makes it easy to care for, but also warm. It comes in a variety of colors (I used red/cream). I ended up using about 1.5 skeins of yarn or 468 yds. Using a lighter weight yarn could make it a spring or fall scarf.

I would recommend this pattern for intermediate crocheters, but a determined beginner might be able to make it with the help of the photo tutorial.

The scarf is worked in three long rows using five different flower motifs (distinguishable by their join points). The chains are hidden on the back.

Once you get the hang of the Daisy Chain motif, this pattern will work up quite quickly. Just crochet, weave in the ends, wear, and get ready to wow!
