Crochet Along

The Tuscan Sun – Block #8

This week’s square in the Moogly Crochet Along is called the Tuscan Flower by The Lavender Chair, but I think Tuscan Sun is more fitting. It’s not even about the bright, sunny colors that I used.

This evening, I finished my square, took it outside, laid it in the grass, and got a sunshine picture. Natural lighting at it’s best. Dry grass. GREEN grass. Amazing.

Spring has been playing a cat and mouse game this year, and I’m ready for it to stick. There’s just something about sending the kids out to play and soak up the vitamin D. I need it, too. A mood can change in an instant when basking in the sun’s glorious rays.

This pattern worked up quickly with easy to follow directions. I’m no stranger to The Lavender Chair. Last summer, I worked on using up some yarn with her Mandala CAL. I love how all of the squares go together, but are slightly varied.

I need to remember to come back to this site for some alternate squares. I think I’m going to need 6 extra squares for my blanket to be the size I want. There are so many to choose from on this site.

This is another one of the things I love about this CAL: it introduces me to so many other designers. I love it!
