Temperature blanket

All Caught Up!

I have less than an hour to write this post before it is a lie!

I am all caught up on my Temperature Blanket. I just finished the square for August 10. The thing about this blanket is that I’m always a day behind. I can’t chart the weather until I know the weather, so that takes me to midnight. It is currently 11:12 p.m. In 48 minutes, the weather for today will be set in stone. Then, I will behind on my blanket again.

For now, I’m reveling in the feeling of caught-up-ness.

Here it is.

I still have lots of ends to weave in, but I have found a new way of tucking in the ends thanks to a video I saw a few weeks ago (I’ve been searching for the link, but can’t find it). So far, I’m pretty happy with it. Still, the ends wait.

It’s hard to believe this blanket is almost 2/3 of the way done! I’ve been meaning to post an update since it was half done, but life…

When I started this project, I was pretty sure I would finish it–mostly because of the blog, but I never imagined I’d be able to keep up. Now, I am sure I can finish it and I look forward to that day (and then I’ll have to come up with something new for next year!).

Many of you have asked about the size of the blanket. Is it gargantuan? My answer–it’s just right. I’ve put myself in the picture for gauge.

Each square is only about 3 inches wide. When it is finished, it will be the perfect size and weight for a living room blanket.
