A Little More Bright in the Gloomy Winter: 2018 Moogly CAL

Earlier this year, I shared squares #1-17 in the 2018 Moogly Crochet Along. This is the third year I participated. My 2016 squares are still waiting to be joined. My 2017 squares (though I only did half) were put together and given to a family in need.

This year, I plan to get my squares assembled. What happens with that blanket next? I’m not quite sure. I love the colors, but they aren’t for everyone. I’ll share the blanket when I get it done.

In the meantime, I’ve ordered my yarn for 2019. I chose a palette from Pinterest. I’m pretty excited about it.

Below are squares #18-24. I determined to do all of the squares given with no alternates. It was a great experience. I learned a lot of new techniques and a few things I would do better:

  1. Measure each and every square to make sure they are the same size.
  2. Block each square as I go.
  3. Join as I go.

With these three changes, hopefully I’ll finish the Moogly 2019 CAL on time. By the way, if you want to join me, all you have to do is follow the blog or join the Facebook group.
