Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?

When I had kids, I had two things I would not let them watch—Barney and Elmo.

Barney stayed on the no list, but Elmo became beloved by my little ones. It started with a small stuffed Elmo that my daughter carried around and chewed on as a baby. She loved that thing.

I still couldn’t stand Elmo. On her first birthday, rock and roll Elmo appeared in a gift bag from our good friends. It was a regift. It was loud. It was quickly hidden in a closet. That same Elmo found itself regifted to the original owner for their daughter’s second birthday.

Over the years, all four kids have loved Elmo from watching Sesame Street. There were times we played Elmo’s Potty Time on repeat for hours to try to get the idea of potty training in their heads.

So, to make a long story short, when I saw that Lion Brand had come out with a line of Sesame Street One Hat Wonder yarns, I immediately had to have them—not to make for my own children who are too old for them now, but for any Sesame Street Lover out there.

I used a basic lovey pattern from Crochet365KnitToo. It made a lovey about 9 inches across—small, but perfect for little hands.

The yarn itself is very soft and made of 100% acrylic which makes them washable to enjoy for a very long time.
