This pattern is available on Etsy for $2.99. If you can’t tell from my posts lately, I love a granny square. I also love a blanket that uses the “join as you go” method so I don’t have to sew all of the squares together at the end. The Pocketful of Posies pattern was born… Continue reading Pocketful of Posies Blanket Pattern (Paid Pattern)
The pattern for this blanket is availble for purchase HERE for $4.99. I post a lot of baby blankets. I admit it. They are my favorite thing to make. When a friend of ours announced she was having another baby, I knew I had to make it personalized because baby’s big sister Ruth got the… Continue reading Personalized Baby Name Blanket (Paid Pattern)
One of the biggest things to consider when starting a new blanket is what yarn to use. There are do many options out there: acrylic, cotton, wool, bamboo, or a blend of all of the above. I tend towards acrylic because it is easy to crochet with and easy to take care of. Plus, it… Continue reading Just a Little Yarn…About Yarn

Unfortunately, I was unable to do more than 8 letters without completely reworking the… Continue reading Names, Names, Names (Heart Baby Name Blanket 6-8 letters)
This post contains affiliate links. Last summer, I ordered a mystery box of yarn from Lion Brand yarns and posted about it here. One of the yarns was Ice Cream Roving Yarn. What makes a yarn roving, you might ask? Roving means that the yarn has variable thickness, which gives the finished piece great texture.… Continue reading Stop Roving! Shape Up!
For expectant mothers, pregnancy is a time of excitement, wonder, awe, worry, fear, and every emotion in between. Maybe that’s why we shower them with gifts before baby arrives–a party to let them know that no matter the emotion, there is something to look forward to. Babies are God’s perfect gift and they deserve to… Continue reading God’s Perfect Gift
It has been a busy spring for us with so many events and celebrations! If I haven’t mentioned it, my husband and I have been involved with college ministry throughout our entire marriage in various forms. Some students we know in passing, some we know decently, and some we know quite well. The latter are… Continue reading Celebrating Humans Through Crochet
