I was in elementary school when I decided that one of my favorite color combinations was purple and orange. It still doesn’t disappoint. I’ve just finished my Circus Star Blanket (you have to wait until next week to see it…), and I still love purple and orange together! To be honest, I didn’t pick this… Continue reading Circus Star CAL – Part 3
I went to Michael’s the other day for yarn to finish a project (I never buy enough and then end up getting too much!), but they didn’t have what I was looking for. It would have been wrong to walk out the door empty handed with a coupon in hand, right? Of course I bought… Continue reading Eclectic Yarn
Are you all ready for part two? I have loved seeing some pictures of part one. Keep posting and sharing. I am having so much fun with this! Now that the pattern has been established, part 2 is going to seem much easier! Let’s get started. Circus Star Baby Blanket Part 2 Note: You need… Continue reading Circus Star CAL – Part 2
I feel like everyone has that elusive project that they just can’t master. For me, it’s been socks. I’ve been enamored by beautiful sock yarn in the past and decided to try making them. They ended up HUGE. Every. Single. Time. Frustrated, I even purchased a sock-knitting loom. No success there either. Last month’s Happy… Continue reading Sock Success!
Yay! Today is the first day of my first CAL. I’m so excited! I have worked this pattern a couple of different ways, but I’m most excited by this one. I hope you’ll enjoy it. Throughout the pattern, I will tell you when to change colors, but I won’t tell you which color to change… Continue reading Circus Star CAL Part 1
I have a friend who is a knitter. I want to introduce her to you through a project she did last year. Her name is Diana and she knit a Sky Scarf. I wanted to share this for those of you who might be intimidated by the Temperature Blanket and the complexity of it. She… Continue reading The Sky Scarf
As I’m working on the pattern for the Circus Star Blanket, I’ve decided to run it as a Crochet Along. It will be four weeks long and start with the first pattern next Monday, March 12. Here’s my prototype: The pattern we will be working on has some changes made to fix the buckling in… Continue reading Join the Circus Star Baby Blanket Crochet Along (CAL)
It’s the 5th day of March and I’m finally getting around to updating the Temperature Blanket. Actually, I’m going to be proud of myself for even being this close to up-to-date. I hate to think of how far I’ll lag behind as the year goes on. I also didn’t want to post pictures on the… Continue reading Fluctuating February
Every two weeks I look forward to the new square pattern for my Moogly CAL. This week when I opened the page, I said, “Wow.” It is a seriously beautiful square. The Crocodile Dahlia Square by Katie D. Creations, contained a stitch I was familiar with–the crocodile stitch, but the block was worked from the… Continue reading The Outside-In Square
I picked up some Peaches & Creme cotton yarn and Red Heart Scrubby yarn from Walmart the other day. I knew I’d be making dishcloths, I just didn’t know what they’d look like! Does that ever happen to you? Or do you only buy yarn when you have a project in mind? I think we… Continue reading Double Duty Dishcloth
